Greene County Relay for Life honored by ACS as Community of Hope

GreeneCommHope copyThe Greene County Relay for Life was honored recently by the American Cancer Society Midwest Division with the presentation of the Community of Hope Award.

Peg Raney (left), who heads the local RFL committee, accepted the award from Caryline Clark (right), ACS staff member. The Community of Hope Award is given to a community that successfully implements mission related activities in order to positively impact the cancer burden and increase ACS awareness in their community.

Scranton Journal / News Gazette editor Luann Waldo was presented with the media award for Guthrie County. That award recognized The News Gazette and Waldo for continuous support and publicity of RFL events year around. ~The Scranton Journal
